HVAC Adjunct Instructor "Pool"
Job Responsibilities
Adjunct instructors may teach at the Lex D. Walters Campus and/or at one of the college’s six county centers located in Laurens, Newberry, Edgefield, Saluda, Abbeville, and McCormick. Opportunities may include daytime or evening classes, online instruction, and dual credit courses offered at local high schools.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Teaching a diverse student body in accordance with established syllabi at various locations
- Utilizing instructional technology
- Applying a variety of effective teaching methods
- Planning, managing, and delivering course instruction
- Following all EPA and OSHA regulations that pertain to the program
- Participating in college functions as needed
- Applying teaching practices that support the continuous improvement of both the program and the college
Requirements
Minimum and additional requirements:
- An associate's degree in HVAC technology and a minimum of five (5) years of documented, verifiable field experience are required.
- Candidates must also possess Universal EPA Section 608 certification.
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with prior teaching experience, particularly at the community or technical college level or in secondary education settings, will receive preference.
