About the Role
Piedmont Technical College is building an active pool of qualified candidates for Adjunct Faculty (temporary, part-time) positions. Adjunct instructors may teach at the Lex D. Walters Campus and/or at one of the college’s six county centers located in Laurens, Newberry, Edgefield, Saluda, Abbeville, and McCormick. Opportunities may include daytime or evening classes, online instruction, and dual credit courses offered at local high schools. Applications will be reviewed on an as-needed basis as teaching opportunities become available.
Responsibilities
- Teach a diverse student body in accordance with established syllabi at various locations.
- Utilize instructional technology and apply a variety of effective teaching methods.
- Plan, manage, and deliver course instruction.
- Follow all EPA and OSHA regulations that pertain to the program.
- Participate in college functions as needed.
- Apply teaching practices that support the continuous improvement of both the program and the college.
- Serve as professional team members who support the mission and vision of the college while performing duties with the highest level of quality and service.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in HVAC technology.
- Minimum of five (5) years of documented, verifiable field experience.
- Universal EPA Section 608 certification.
Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates with prior teaching experience, particularly at the community or technical college level or in secondary education settings.
