Hunting Sales - Part Time

About the role

The Sales Outfitter provides counter sales and customer service for Hunting/Archery Merchandise (non-Firearms). This role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service and sales of floor merchandise, assisting customers with buying decisions, and maintaining a well-organized retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Support a strong commitment to world-class customer service, ensuring a pleasant and productive shopping experience.
• Assist customers in making buying decisions by identifying needs, evaluating options, and making product recommendations.
• Promote programs including CLUB membership, VOC, and In-Store Pickup.
• Demonstrate product features and benefits to customers.
• Organize and maintain merchandise within the retail store, including replenishing product on shelves per merchandising guidelines.
• Remain a product expert through ongoing training and stay knowledgeable about advertised sales, pricing, and signage.
• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and well-stocked work area.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 0-2 years of retail experience.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Skills

• Customer service and sales expertise in Hunting/Archery Merchandise (non-Firearms).
• Ability to merchandise and stock products effectively.

Physical Requirements

• Constantly stand and/or walk during shift.
• Occasionally ascend or descend ladders, stairs, or ramps.
• Constantly communicate with others to exchange information.
• Occasionally repeat motions involving wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
• Occasionally operate machinery, power tools, motor vehicles, or heavy equipment.
• Light work involving moving objects up to 20 pounds constantly; may occasionally move and lift objects up to 100 pounds (utilizing a team lift as needed).
• Occasionally work in tight and confined spaces.
• Occasionally work in noisy environments.

Independent Judgement

Performs tasks and duties under general supervision using established procedures and innovation. Chooses from limited alternatives to resolve problems, occasionally using independent judgment. Often makes recommendations to improve work procedures, policies, and practices.

Pay

Starting pay rate: $18.00 - $20.75 per hour.
