Hunting Sales Outfitter Full Time

Position Summary

The Sales Outfitter provides counter sales and customer service for Hunting/Archery Merchandise (non‑Firearms). This role greets and acknowledges all customers promptly and friendly, handles merchandise with care, and provides information, assistance, and direction to shoppers.

Essential Functions

• Support a strong commitment to world‑class customer service and ensure a pleasant, productive shopping experience for all customers.
• Provide a legendary experience for every customer by assisting them in making buying decisions, including:
  • Identifying and evaluating customers’ needs
  • Making product recommendations based on that analysis
  • Promoting programs such as CLUB membership, VOC, and In‑Store Pick‑up
• Demonstrate products to customers as needed.
• Organize and maintain merchandise within the retail store for sales at the gun counter (non‑Firearms).
• Replenish product on shelves according to merchandising guidelines.
• Remain a product “expert” through ongoing product‑knowledge training.
• Stay knowledgeable of advertised sales; maintain pricing and signage.
• Assist with seasonal floor‑merchandise moves.
• Keep work area clean, neat, and well‑stocked with supplies.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 0–2 years of retail experience.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:
  • Customer service and sales of hunting/archery merchandise (non‑Firearms).
  • Ability to merchandise and stock merchandise.

Physical Requirements

• Constantly stand and/or walk during shift.
• Occasionally ascend or descend ladders, stairs, ramps, etc.
• Constantly communicate with others to exchange information.
• Occasionally repeat motions involving wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
• Occasionally operate machinery, power tools, motor vehicles, or heavy equipment.
• Light work moving objects up to 20 lb; occasionally move and lift objects up to 100 lb (team lift as needed).
• Occasionally work in tight/confined spaces and noisy environments.

Independent Judgment

Performs tasks under general supervision using established procedures and innovation. Chooses from limited alternatives to resolve problems, makes occasional independent judgments, and often recommends improvements to work procedures, policies, and practices.

Pay

Starting pay rate: $18.00 – $20.75 per hour.
