Human Services Program Development Specialist

About the Role

The Prevention Statewide Coordinator leads field staff and internal/external stakeholders with planning and organizing of events, meetings and trainings around primary, secondary and tertiary prevention services/programs. This position works with community members, parents, youth in foster care, and other social service agencies in providing services to families.

This position requires statewide travel, and participation in events some nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Performs program development and management for Office of Prevention functions as assigned, such as but not limited to Housing Voucher Program, Car Seat Program, Baby Box Program, CarePortal, Protective Factors and ACE's training/awareness, Citizens Review Panels, Parent Advisory Panels, Child Abuse Prevention Grant Programs
• Develops and maintains written content for the Office of Prevention as assigned, including but not limited to curriculum and delivery of prevention training, public awareness, statewide child maltreatment fatality prevention plan, community-based child abuse prevention plan (CBCAP)
• Implements strategies identified by the primary, secondary and tertiary statewide needs assessment, and contributes to monthly strategic plan updates
• Prepares written material for annual federal and state grant applications and grant reports
• Plans, organizes and implements conference workshops, annual learning opportunities, parent collaboratives/community engagement events, and family friendly activities in the community
• Other duties as assigned as related to the position

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in social work or related field
• 4 years of social service experience
• Experience in child welfare or other work with children and families in a social service agency

Pay & Schedule

• Salary: $26.4424 HRLY / $55,000.19 annually
• Salary Grade: 20
