Human Resources Representative
About the role
Assist local area offices and the corporate HR department with a variety of HR-related activities.
Create employment requisitions, coordinate interview schedules, assist with documentation of annual recruiting plans and coordinate immigration information with Immigration.
Partner with the area to coordinate career fairs and support the Internship Program.
Conduct offboarding activities and process terminations.
Use corporate systems to maintain employee records and process personnel transactions.
Provide excellent HR customer service for employee and manager requests and questions related to company policies, procedures, benefits, hiring and other HR-related topics.
Provide support for HR reporting, data analysis and audits.
Demonstrate knowledge of HDR policies, procedures and benefit programs.
Assist employees with benefit-related questions of moderate complexity and refer complex questions to Corporate Benefits.
Schedule and coordinate interviews, presentations, meetings and conference calls.
Complete administrative functions such as record-keeping, file maintenance, HRIS entries, drafting correspondence and sending emails.
Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files, records and sensitive employee information.
Assist with special projects.
Responsibilities
- Have a passion for working with people and a focus on employee engagement while supporting approximately 200 employees across the Michigan Area.

Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to communicate professionally with all levels of employees and management.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, PowerPoint, Word and Excel or similar programs.
- Basic understanding of business activities.
Qualifications
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of transferable administrative and people-focused experience preferred.
- Previous experience supporting employees, customers, students, volunteers or teams in a service-oriented environment preferred.
- Local candidates preferred.
