Duties and Responsibilities
- Uses ADP to fulfill/support the duties below:
- Compiles payroll data such as hours worked, taxes, Member identification number, from time sheets and other records.
- Prepares computer input forms, enters data into computer files, or computes wages and deductions and updates payroll records.
- Reviews wages computed and corrects errors to ensure accuracy of payroll.
- Records changes affecting net wages, such as exemptions, for each employee to update master payroll records.
- Records data concerning transfer of Members between departments.
- Reviews monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to ensure accuracy of payroll.
- Prorates expenses to be debited or credited to each department for cost accounting records.
- Prepares periodic reports of earnings, taxes, and deductions.
- Prepares and issues paychecks.
- Affords assistance with new hire orientation.
- Promotes positive Member relations.
- Affords assistance with company-sponsored events, if needed.
- Affords assistance with other H.R. duties as needed (EX: social media, uniform program, etc.).
Qualifications
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of management and personnel.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
- Strong PC skills, Kronos, Oracle, PayCom or ADP skills, and MS Office skills.
- Ability to organize and prioritize effectively.
- Knowledge of all aspects of payroll processing, as well as applicable tax laws.
Education
- High School Diploma required.
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field OR 5 - 10 years of Human Resources experience with a manufacturing company preferred.
