About the role
The Human Resources Operations Specialist will primarily maintain and update the immigration program to facilitate global transfers and assignments, relocation services and support cross country and domestic moves for new hires. In this role, you will support our global HR team by being our in-house expert and owner of the team that supports all global mobility, visa/immigration processing, programs, and policies. You will partner with HRBP, HR Ops, Talent Acquisition teams, and various internal groups and employees to support new and transferring employees.
Responsibilities
- Manage our US and global immigration programs, including sponsorship of nonimmigrant and immigrant cases, and strategically implement enhancements reflecting our growth
- Manage our Relocation & Immigration program as well as the monitoring and tracking of all cases.
- Partner with legal immigration vendor to provide guidance and direction to business leaders and HR partners, and hold vendors accountable to performance standards
- Develop and deliver training for Talent Acquisition, HR partner, and business leaders as needed.
- Utilize data to guide decision-making and provide proactive, creative solutions to business issues with people implications.
- Respond to all applicable inquiries including working with employees regarding collection of time critical documents and data for various aspects of the immigration process (Letters of Support, Public Access Files, PERM activities, compliance posting requirements, etc.).
- Stay up-to-date on foreign national employees' job changes (locations, duties, compensation changes, terminations) to ensure nonimmigrant work status is in compliance.
- Build and communicate relocation packages with expatriate employees and serve as primary contact for all pre-departure, post-arrival, assignment counseling and related services/questions.
- Track relocation package disbursement and ensure tax compliance, in partnership with Payroll and Accounting.
- Drive strategic program improvements (e.g., policies, workflows, budgets, etc.) based on market data and internal feedback
- New Hire Onboarding:
- Prepare and distribute onboarding paperwork and new hire communications.
- Coordinate with HR, IT, Facilities, Security, and Hiring Managers to ensure all onboarding requirements are completed.
- Schedule new hire orientation sessions and onboarding meetings.
- Ensure completion of Form I-9, E-Verify (if applicable), and required employment documentation.
- Coordinate equipment requests, workstation setup, system access, badges, and facility access for new employees.
- Track onboarding progress and ensure all required training and documentation are completed.
- Serve as a resource for new hires by answering questions regarding onboarding, benefits enrollment, company policies, and general employment information.
- Administrative & HR Support:
- Maintain personnel files and recruiting records in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Aid in employee communications and HR-related projects.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance recruiting and onboarding efficiency.
- Assist with special projects and other HR responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 3–5+ years of experience administering employment-based immigration programs and/or global mobility programs.
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. immigration processes, including H-1B, TN, F-1 OPT/STEM OPT, L-1, O-1, PERM, and employment-based permanent residency sponsorship.
- Experience working directly with immigration counsel, government compliance requirements, and foreign national employees.
- Experience coordinating domestic and international employee relocation programs.
- Experience facilitating new hire onboarding, orientation, and employee lifecycle processes.
- Knowledge of Form I-9 compliance, E-Verify, and employment eligibility requirements.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and confidential information.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems, case management systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and reporting tools.

Pay
$90,000 - $100,000 DOE, plus benefits and incentive plans
