We are seeking an experienced and committed HR Manager to join our dynamic and innovative organization. The Human Resources Operations & Compliance Manager serves as a key HR leader responsible for overseeing Project Harmony’s core human resources operations and compliance functions. This position provides leadership and oversight for employment law and policy compliance, employee relations, workplace investigations, HRIS and data integrity, payroll operations, audits, and leave and accommodation administration. The Manager partners with the Chief Operating Officer, HR team, and organizational leaders to ensure HR practices are consistent, compliant, efficient, and aligned with Project Harmony’s values, strategic plan, mission, and applicable legal and regulatory requirements. identifies areas of risk or process improvement and coordinates corrective actions as appropriatePartners with organizational leaders to interpret and consistently apply HR policies, address employee concerns, and navigate complex employment mattersEvaluates HR systems, workflows, procedures, and internal controls and recommends improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, consistency, and complianceCollaborates with HR team and other organizational functions to ensure HR processes and procedures are consistent, effective, and efficient for the organizationEnsure culturally competent services are provided to all families we serve without regard to race, ethnicity, religion, socioeconomic status, disability, gender or sexual orientationOther duties as assigned Requirements Qualifications Education Bachelor’s degree required in human resources, business administration, public administration, or related fieldHuman Resources certification (SPHR, PHR, SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, etc.) preferred Experience And Training 7+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including responsibility for HR operations, compliance, employee relations, HRIS, payroll, and leave administration Demonstrated experience handling employee relations matters, workplace investigations, corrective actions, and employment policy interpretation Training and experience in HRIS/HRMS, including records management, reporting, payroll, time and labor, and related HR technology Experience supporting HR, payroll, compliance, or regulatory audits and maintaining effective internal controls Experience with nonprofit agencies a plus Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Advanced knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including employment law and compliance, employee relations, ADA, leave administration, payroll, HRIS, performance management, and time and laborAdvanced knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and the ability to translate requirements into practical HR policies and practicesDemonstrated skill in employee relations, workplace investigations, conflict resolution, corrective action, and policy administrationStrong HRIS and data management capabilities, including maintaining data integrity, analyzing HR information, developing reports, and identifying trends or discrepanciesExcellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skillsStrong organizational, time management, analytical, and administrative skillsExcellent communication skills (written, verbal and active listening)Ability to work in a fast-paced and team-oriented environmentAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively meet deadlinesStrong knowledge and use of Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.) as well as SharePointSelf-starter with ability to set priorities and work independentlyStrong problem-solving, judgment, and decision-making skillsMust demonstrate a high level of professionalism, confidence, discretion, and work ethicMust respect and maintain confidentiality Other Must be willing to work flexible hoursMust submit to a thorough criminal history background checkMust have access to a vehicle, possess a valid driver’s license and proof of insurancePosition may involve some travel, primarily within the state The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of the work being performed by individuals assigned to this job.
