About the role

The Human Resources Intern will provide administrative and coordination support to the HR team across a range of people-related activities and processes. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone who is highly organised, enjoys working with people, and is passionate about developing a career in Human Resources. The successful candidate will be willing to learn, able to pick up new information and processes quickly, and comfortable supporting a fast-paced HR function. The HR Intern will gain exposure to a broad range of Human Resources activities while providing valuable day-to-day administrative support to the wider team.

Requirements

  • Currently studying, or recently completed, a qualification in Human Resources, or relevant field is desirable
  • Previous administrative or customer service experience would be advantageous but is not essential
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time-management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • A proactive and positive approach to work
  • A willingness to learn and the ability to pick up new processes and information quickly
  • A genuine interest in Human Resources and a passion for working with and supporting people
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Professionalism and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate work
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel

Responsibilities

  • Provide general administrative support to the Human Resources team across a range of day-to-day activities
  • Assist with maintaining and filing HR documentation, trackers and databases
  • Provide administrative support throughout the recruitment process, including scheduling interviews and communicating with candidates
  • Assist with coordinating onboarding and offboarding tasks
  • Support the HR team with ad hoc projects and administrative tasks as required
  • Handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism, discretion and a high level of attention to detail
