Human Resources Intern (Summer 2027) - McCarthy Bush Corporation

About the role

McCarthy Bush Corporation is seeking a Human Resources Intern for Summer 2027. The intern will support the HR and Payroll teams and gain exposure to various HR generalist functions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all aspects of the employee lifecycle: talent acquisition, onboarding, retention, and off‑boarding.
• Prepare and maintain HR documents.
• Facilitate phone screenings.
• Create offer letters.
• Assist with job description creation.
• Perform other administrative duties.
• Create and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at multiple worksites in the Quad Cities area (requires reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license).

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass a pre‑employment background check and drug screen.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in, or a recent graduate of, a human resources, business administration, organizational development, or related field degree program.

Pay

Pay starts at $16/hour, with potential to reach $19/hour based on experience.
