Human Resources (HR) Recruiter

Robert Half is seeking an experienced and mission-driven HR Recruiter for a non-profit organization in Hamden, CT. This role will be responsible for managing the full-cycle recruitment process, supporting hiring managers, and helping attract top talent to further the organization’s mission. The ideal candidate will have strong sourcing and interviewing experience, excellent communication skills, and a passion for supporting community-focused initiatives.ResponsibilitiesManage full-cycle recruitment for a variety of professional, administrative, and program-related positions.Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop recruitment strategies.Create and post job advertisements across multiple platforms.Source, screen, and interview candidates to identify qualified talent.Coordinate candidate interviews and facilitate communication throughout the hiring process.Maintain applicant tracking systems and recruitment records.Conduct reference checks and assist with offer preparation.Support onboarding activities for new hires.Ensure compliance with employment laws, organizational policies, and equal employment opportunity standards.Assist with additional HR projects and initiatives as needed. RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.2+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, preferably within a non-profit, healthcare, or service-oriented environment.Experience sourcing candidates through job boards, social media, and professional networks.Strong interviewing, relationship-building, and organizational skills.Proficiency with applicant tracking systems and Microsoft Office Suite.Knowledge of employment laws and recruiting best practices.Ability to manage multiple openings and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.Preferred QualificationsExperience recruiting for non-profit organizations.Familiarity with HRIS and applicant tracking systems.SHRM-CP, PHR, or other HR certification is a plus.Compensation$28.00 - $38.00 per hour, based on experience.BenefitsCompetitive compensationHealth, dental, and vision insurance401(k) eligibilityPaid training and professional development opportunitiesOpportunity to support a mission-driven organization making a positive impact in the communityApply today to learn more about this HR Recruiter opportunity with a respected non-profit organization in Hamden, CT.
