About the role

The HR Generalist II performs day-to-day Human Resources functions by providing support to District staff while aligning with District values, strategic priorities, and objectives. They resolve simple to moderate human resources issues, escalate complex issues, lead and act as a consultant for various HR projects, and serve as a contact for employees responding to inquiries about HR programs and directives.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee performance management
  • Facilitate conflict resolution
  • Partner with managers to address employee concerns and foster a positive work environment
  • Execute comprehensive and impartial investigations into matters such as harassment and discrimination, collaborating with internal counsel
  • Offer expert guidance to business leaders
  • Communicate clearly, maintain strict confidentiality, and effectively navigate complex situations
  • Build positive relationships
  • Provide actionable recommendations on employee issues
  • Interpret and administer District policies

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Public Administration, or a related field, and two (2) years of related Human Resources experience
  • Associate’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Public Administration, or a related field, and four (4) years of related Human Resources experience
  • Six (6) years of related Human Resources experience
