Human Resources Expert

Starting hourly rate: $16.00 USD per hour. Pay range: $16.00 – $24.00 USD per hour.

This role offers meaningful experiences to build and develop skills for a career, including understanding employment laws, using Microsoft Office Suite and workforce management programs, and effectively using scheduling software.

Responsibilities

• Create an easy, inspiring, and friendly guest experience by:
  • Greeting guests within 10 feet (smile, make eye contact, or wave) and 4 feet (initiate a warm, helpful interaction).
  • Helping guests find what they need or resolving issues for a smooth shopping experience.
  • Ending every guest transaction with a sincere thank you.
• Support team efforts, assist peers in other areas, and maintain a positive, respectful attitude.
• Adjust to business and guest needs to deliver an easy and inspiring experience.
• Work with your HR leader to anticipate and address talent and staffing needs, ensuring the right mix of skills for in-store and digital shopping experiences.
• Lead focused recruiting efforts to help store leaders find and hire candidates.
• Support team member and leader training needs and advocate for continuous learning.
• Serve as an expert resource for scheduling systems and pay practices.
• Be approachable and available by listening to team members and collaborating with leaders to take action as needed.
• Deliver on all Human Resources processes and programs to maximize team member engagement and minimize business disruption.
• Support compliance with company policies to mitigate risk to the team member experience.
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; work safely, report hazards, and correct them where possible.
• Perform all other duties based on business needs, including cash register operations as needed.

Requirements

• Enjoy interacting and helping others, including guests and team members.
• Thrive in a fast-moving, highly active, and physically demanding role where teamwork, flexibility, and creative problem-solving are key.
• Open to working a flexible schedule with varying hours, days, or shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times).
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices, operate handheld scanners, and use other technology equipment.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and with a team.
• Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes.
• Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes.
• Frequently lift or move merchandise up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 44 pounds without assistance.
• Capable of working in varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements (e.g., Drive-Up, carryout).
• Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift (shift length may vary).
• Come to work when scheduled, work scheduled shifts, and take required meal and rest breaks.
