Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic partner to the executive and plant leadership teams, developing and executing HR strategies aligned with overall business and operational objectives.
  • Partner with plant leadership to design and implement workforce plans that support production schedules, capacity planning, and long-term growth.
  • Lead organizational development initiatives, including talent management, succession planning, leadership development, performance management, and employee engagement, ensuring a strong and sustainable talent pipeline.
  • Drive talent acquisition strategy for hourly and salaried roles, collaborating with hiring managers to identify workforce needs, enhance selection processes, and deliver an effective onboarding experience.
  • Build a high-performance culture that empowers employees at all levels to contribute, grow, and perform at their best.
  • Coach and advise plant managers and frontline supervisors on leadership effectiveness, employee relations, performance management, and workforce engagement.
  • Provide expert guidance on complex employee relations matters, including investigations, reasonable accommodations, policy interpretation, and terminations, ensuring fair and consistent practices.
  • Lead safety partnership efforts in collaboration with operations, including OSHA compliance, workers’ compensation management, return-to-work programs, and strengthening the overall safety culture.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including wage and hour regulations, attendance practices, and manufacturing-specific employment requirements.
  • Monitor and analyze key HR and workforce metrics (turnover, absenteeism, overtime, safety incidents, time-to-fill), leveraging data to drive informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Identify and implement HR best practices and process improvements that increase efficiency, reduce non-value-added activities, and enhance employee experience.
  • Lead, develop, and mentor a team of HR professionals to deliver high-quality, responsive HR support to the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally in a manufacturing or operational environment.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience leading an HR function or HR team.
  • Experience supporting multi-site operations preferred.
  • PHRO/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
