About the role

This position is a hybrid role requiring 1-2 days in-office at various hospitals in the Central Market (Salt Lake Valley).

Essential Functions

The Sr. HRBP works across all operating states and lines of business, leveraging HR expertise and business acumen in areas such as:

  • Acting as a subject matter expert, internal consultant and HR mentor in one or more key domains of HR knowledge to provide ongoing training and development to the HRBP team and other teams.
  • Managing high-complexity or high-risk employee relations cases, including physician relations and leader-of-leader investigations, guiding leaders to successfully drive caregiver performance and take corrective action when needed.
  • Assessing compensation needs and identifying proposed solutions in line with organization pay practices, internal equity and responsible stewardship. Proposing implementation or modification of pay programs in partnership with Compensation COE, optimizing return on investment for impacted groups.
  • Leading the design and evaluation of new and existing job design to align with market competitiveness and business need.
  • Coaching and influencing leaders to drive continuous improvement in team engagement and culture to maximize business and clinical outcomes as well as improving quality of care. Leveraging analytical tools and resources to tell powerful business stories and provide integrated, data-informed recommendations in support of organizational strategies.
  • Workforce planning and optimization support to HR and leaders.
  • Providing support and subject matter expertise to plan and execute projects and initiatives, both within HR and across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in a Human Resources role demonstrating autonomy, critical thinking, and the application of policy, procedure and labor laws/statutes in daily work.
  • Strong prior experience in independently conducting thorough employee relations investigations as an HR professional, including cases with high complexity or risk.
  • Experience in an HR position (for example, HR Manager or HR Business Partner) with substantial responsibility for coaching, advising and influencing business leaders on a wide range of HR concerns which must include legal employee relations, development and compensation.
  • Ability to successfully influence leaders at every level of the organization, with strong presentation skills and a comfort with difficult discussions and experience in leveraging HR practices to drive successful business results.
  • Experience in analyzing data to provide informed HR recommendations.
  • Ability to manage a large workload with a high degree of autonomy, organization, and adaptability in a remote-based team serving a complex, matrixed organization with frequent ambiguity.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field, preferred. Degree must be obtained through an accredited institution.
  • Education is verified.
  • Experience in a complex, matrixed, multi-state environment, preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, documents, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs.
  • Frequent interactions with providers, colleagues, customers, patients/clients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, needs, and issues quickly and accurately.
  • Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use for typing, accessing needed information, etc.

Pay and Schedule

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. $44.99 - $69.44
