Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary HR partner for a portfolio of properties supporting approximately 400 employees
- Provide proactive, solutions-oriented HR guidance to managers and employees at all levels
- Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture while strengthening employee relations
- Interpret and communicate company policies, procedures, and employment practices
- Partner with leadership to develop and maintain accurate job descriptions and performance expectations
- Support managers in employee counseling, performance management, disciplinary actions, and terminations
- Mediate employee relations matters and facilitate effective conflict resolution
- Conduct thorough and timely investigations into employee concerns and complaints
- Manage unemployment claims and represent the company in hearings
- Handle EEOC claims and assist with employment-related litigation matters
- Train and coach managers on HR best practices and compliance requirements
- Monitor and respond to employee feedback on social platforms as appropriate
- Contribute to HR projects and initiatives that support business objectives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or closely related field with a minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience in a 300+ employee environment
- At least 3 years of direct experience managing employee relations matters, including investigations, unemployment claims, and legal/compliance issues
- Experience supporting multi-state, multi-site operations with strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification (or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire)
- Strong business acumen with the ability to align HR strategies to organizational goals
- Demonstrated ability to build trust and maintain effective working relationships across all levels of the organization
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong conflict resolution and decision-making skills
