Responsibilities
- Processes semi-monthly payroll for exempt, non-exempt, and hourly employees, including reviewing timecards for accuracy.
- Maintains employee records, HRIS data, and personnel files in compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
- Supports employee benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, terminations, and responding to routine employee questions.
- Affords assistance to employees with leave-of-absence paperwork and tracks documentation related to medical leave, FMLA, disability, and personal leave requests.
- Collaborates in onboarding activities for new hires, including preparing orientation materials, assigning equipment, and scheduling onboarding sessions.
- Prepares employment-related documents such as separation notices, verification requests, employee letters, and memos.
- Affords support in maintaining compliance postings, reports, and documentation required for audits and regulatory requirements.
- Runs standard HR and payroll reports as requested by management.
- Supports annual open enrollment activities and assists with system updates and employee communications.
- Affords support in monitoring pre-employment requirements such as background checks, MVR reporting, and required employee documentation.
- Runs pre-employment and in-service background checks including MVR reports, fingerprint checks.
- Provides general administrative support to the HR department, including filing, scanning, record maintenance, and data entry.
- Affords support in employee engagement activities, wellness initiatives, recognition programs, and company events.
- Supports payroll and benefits audits by gathering documentation and reviewing records for accuracy.
- Affords support in ACA, OSHA, W-2 corrections, and other compliance-related administrative tasks as needed.
- Responds to employment verification requests and routine employee inquiries.
- Provides backup support for front desk, including lunch breaks and absences.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- At least five years related experience required; HR department support preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to prioritize tasks.
- High level of collaboration in peer relationships.
- Focus on welcoming and service mindset for internal customers.

- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS.
