Description
Position Summary: Provides Human Resources support in various areas of recruiting and recordkeeping. The staffing of the Summit Medical Center is based on a teamwork concept. Employees may be cross-trained in other administrative areas and may be expected to perform duties other than their normal ones as staffing and patient needs change.
Responsibilities
- Maintains established policies, procedures and objectives.
- Prepares recruiting advertisements and updates website as needed.
- Processes employee changes in Paycom as needed.
- Affords assistance with preparation and processing of bi-weekly payroll.
- Affords assistance with pre-employment screening.
- Affords assistance with new employee orientation which includes hospital orientation and employee benefit enrollment.
- Establishes and maintains employee files and records on an ongoing basis including electronic records.
- Manages contract employee records, including onboarding and education.
- Affords assistance with salary surveys, audits, and benefits administration.
- Maintains confidentiality of employee and center-related business.
- Develops and maintains an effective working relationship with center employees.
- Documents concisely and accurately on all records or documents as indicated by policy.
- Participates in Quality Assessment activities as directed for the continuous improvement.
- Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise.
- Attends meetings as required.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma.
- Previous office management experience.
- Must be alert, honest and of good character.
- Prior Human Resources experience preferred.
- Knowledge in payroll systems and functions.
