Responsibilities
- Knowledge of HR programs, policies and procedures, as well as local, state and federal employment laws
- Show initiative and vision for continuous improvement
- Promote Scheels culture and benefits through regular and positive associate interactions
- Create employment postings for recruiting applicants as well as maintaining up to date job postings
- Aid in onboarding new associates including setting up pre-screening interviews, coordinating long form applications, tracking, training, and development of new associates
- Aid in preparing benefits paperwork for all newly eligible associates
- Aid in maintaining associate files and paperwork
- Maintain current knowledge of state and federal employment laws and best practices
- Be organized, multi-tasks, and maintain all aspects of human resources
- Be detail oriented and maintain a high level of accuracy
- Have strong computer and problem solving skills
- Communicate effectively and in a timely manner with all levels of the organization
- Perform basic math
- Follow written, oral and diagram instructions
- Be professional in appearance and attitude; contribute to a positive team atmosphere by treating others with respect and consideration while taking pride in being part of a winning team
- Maintain orderly appearance of personal work space and surrounding areas
- Work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment
