Responsibilities

  • Apply knowledge of HR programs, Scheels policies and procedures, and local, state, and federal employment laws.
  • Promote Scheels' culture and benefits through regular and positive interactions with associates.
  • Create and maintain up-to-date employment postings for recruiting applicants, both internally and externally.
  • Develop a daily routine to maintain office organization, utilizing Google Apps and UKG (preferred), managing the HR bulletin board, and ordering HR supplies.
  • Assist the HR Leader in onboarding new associates from pre-orientation to post-orientation.
  • Lead the first part of new associate orientation.
  • Support the HR Leader with organizational tasks, requiring strong problem-solving skills, multitasking, and a high level of accuracy in all aspects of the HR office.
  • Perform work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 1-2 years of Scheels and/or human resources experience.
  • PHR or SPHR certification preferred, or willingness to obtain certification.
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Sedentary work – exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may require walking or standing for brief periods.
  • Adherence to all safety procedures to minimize the risk of injury.
