Human Resources Assistant

About the role

K2 is seeking an HR Assistant who will play a central role in civilian personnel hiring and onboarding operations at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam. This role involves working closely with hiring managers, driving recruitment workflows, and being the first point of contact for new employees.

Responsibilities

• Supports civilian personnel recruitment and onboarding processes
• Manages recruitment workflows and ensures timely completion of hiring cycles
• Collaborates with hiring managers, HR leadership, and new employees to ensure smooth onboarding
• Ensures compliance with federal regulations and policies
• Provides administrative support for HR initiatives and projects

Requirements

• Active SECRET clearance
• Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Familiarity with PDF document management tools such as Adobe Acrobat
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Close attention to detail and strong follow-through on tasks
• High degree of discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive information

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience supporting HR functions in government, defense, higher education, or large enterprise environments
• Professional HR certification such as PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent
• Familiarity with HR information systems (HRIS) or applicant tracking systems (ATS)
• Problem-solving mindset with flexibility to adapt to evolving requirements
• Commitment to continuous improvement and professional growth

Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary range of $71,000.00 - $84,000.00 per year, along with comprehensive benefits including:
