About the role

This position is responsible for support and administration of HR programs with particular emphasis on front desk responsibilities such as assisting employees with walk-up problems. Other duties may include filing, database management, and providing backup support to the Switchboard Receptionist.

Responsibilities

  • Refer individuals or departments to the appropriate Human Resources Representative to resolve issues.
  • Coordinate activities with people within and outside the HR department.
  • Inform employees of policies and procedures and answer questions in person and on the phone.
  • Submit temp employee hours and process labor invoices on a weekly basis; generate related reporting monthly.
  • Create new employee files; file forms and paperwork in the appropriate location.
  • Update employee information in Dayforce and other databases; follow up on missing documents.
  • Create and update turnover reports and other reports as needed.
  • Manage vacation allotment data and tracking in Dayforce.
  • Monitor and administer the exit interview process; administer the annual employee survey.
  • Manage Franklin apparel inventory, place orders, track inventory, and keep up with demand.
  • Maintain relations with employees and applicants, dealing with individuals on work-related issues.
  • Work closely with others on the HR team.
  • Analyze and interpret company policies, rules, laws, and the union agreement in ways consistent with regulations and supportive of Franklin’s mission, values, and goals.
  • Appraise situations of a highly confidential nature and take appropriate action.

Knowledge and Skills

  • High school diploma/GED and 2 years of HR experience or 5–8 years of office administration experience required, or actively pursuing a degree in Human Resources.
  • Computer literacy and Microsoft Office experience required.
  • Comfortable with face-to-face interactions and communicates professionally.
  • Knowledge and experience with an HCM, especially Dayforce, is a plus.
  • Exposure to recruiting is preferred.
