About the role
The Human Resources Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Port St. Lucie, FL. This position supports day-to-day HR operations, including maintaining employee records, assisting with onboarding, and coordinating HR documentation and processes. The role includes entering and updating data in HRIS systems, supporting benefits enrollment and changes, and helping schedule training sessions and orientations.
Responsibilities
- Enter and update data in HRIS systems to maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
- Support day-to-day HR operations, including onboarding and HR documentation.
- Assist with benefits enrollment and address basic benefits inquiries.
- Coordinate and schedule training sessions, orientations, and staff development programs.
- Respond to employee inquiries and ensure compliance with company policies and employment regulations.
- Collaborate with HR management on special projects and administrative tasks.
Qualifications
- Strong foundational skills in Human Resources (HR) and HR Management, with an interest in supporting daily HR operations.
- Ability to work with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).
- Knowledge of Benefits Administration processes, including enrollment support and basic benefits inquiries.
- Experience or interest in coordinating training activities, such as onboarding sessions and staff development programs.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced office environment.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with a professional, customer-focused approach to employee support.
- Proficiency with standard office software (e.g., MS Office or similar) and comfort learning new HR tools.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Prior experience in an HR, administrative, or office support role is beneficial, especially in healthcare or related industries.
- Candidates with the SHRM-CP certification will receive higher consideration.
