Human Resources Assistant
About the role

Responsibilities
- Accurately process payroll, verifying employee data, timecards, leave, and deductions.
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries, resolve discrepancies, and maintain meticulous payroll records in compliance with all regulations.
- Prepare total compensation statements.
- Assist with the administration of our comprehensive benefit programs, including annual open enrollment.
- Process benefits documentation, maintain precise records, reconcile monthly benefit plan and HR service invoices, and liaise with benefit providers.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring strict adherence to data protection regulations.
- Process employee changes (new hires, terminations, promotions), help coordinate employee engagement initiatives like new employee orientation and recognition programs, and generate various HR documents and reports.
- Ensure everything behind the scenes runs like a well-oiled machine!
- Provide administrative assistance for recruitment activities, including preparing new hire/onboarding and orientation documentation, and help maintain and update candidate databases and/or recruitment trackers.
- Support the maintenance of compliant job descriptions and assist with administrative duties related to HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook compliance.
- Help ensure all HR practices and documentation comply with relevant regulations and labor laws, and support HR audits and compliance reviews.
- Offer general administrative assistance to the HR team and contribute to various special projects, such as training programs, onboarding/orientation preparation, benefit programs, and corporate events.
Requirements
- Proven experience in an HR support role.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and integrity.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Familiarity with HRIS and ADP payroll systems is a plus.
- A proactive attitude and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Qualifications
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Excellent communication skills, both in writing and in person.
- Proactive problem-solving skills.
- Relevant education or certifications preferred but not required.
