About the role
The Human Resources Consultant at ADP plays a pivotal role in delivering exceptional client service through expert HR consulting, product knowledge, and problem-solving skills. As a trusted advisor, you will support some of ADP’s largest clients, addressing their complex HR and technology needs. Your primary goal is to help clients optimize their HR processes, resolve issues efficiently, and implement best practices that align with their business objectives. This role requires building strong relationships with clients and internal teams, communicating clearly, and maintaining a high level of professionalism and integrity. The position offers a hybrid work environment, combining in-office collaboration in Tempe, AZ, with remote work, providing flexibility and work-life balance. You will be part of a fast-paced, supportive team committed to continuous learning, growth, and making a positive impact on clients and the community.
Responsibilities
- Research, troubleshoot, and resolve complex HR and technology issues for clients, supporting ADP’s most critical products and services
- Serve as a trusted HR expert, providing proactive advice, best practices, and training to clients
- Communicate effectively with clients to set expectations, provide updates, and ensure high satisfaction levels
- Prioritize and organize daily tasks, manage multiple client interactions, and adapt to changing needs
- Interpret business issues, recommend solutions, and share insights with clients and internal teams
- Collaborate with internal partners to escalate and resolve issues efficiently
- Mentor and share knowledge with less experienced colleagues, fostering a collaborative team environment
- Maintain a high standard of ethical conduct, integrity, and professionalism in all interactions
Requirements
- At least 3-5 years of professional consulting experience or equivalent in a systems-related organization
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in customer service or human resources environment with proven results
- College degree preferred but not mandatory; relevant experience or military background is acceptable
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly
- Ability to build rapport, establish trust, and demonstrate professionalism with clients and internal teams
- Proficiency in HR systems, technology, and troubleshooting
- Willingness to pursue HR certification within the first year (preferred)
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment, with flexibility to work 3 days in the office and 2 days remotely (or fully remote if in CA)
