About the role

In Nieuw-Zeeland, you will work in a friendly village with approximately 800 inhabitants in the Southland region of the South Island. The practice is located just around the corner from your home. Within 200 meters, you can find a primary school and middle schools that students travel to daily. Invercargill, a city nearby, offers shops, restaurants, an airport, and all daily conveniences.

Responsibilities

• Work within a close-knit team of two experienced general practitioners and one other healthcare professional.
• Collaborate with three practice nurses, two receptionists, and a practice manager.
• Treat approximately 3,500 patients from the rural area, covering a wide range of medical specialties including chronic care, emergency care, and family medicine.
• Opportunities for part-time work are available, with a contract starting in 3 months.
• The position offers flexibility in terms of working hours, such as 3 months of work and 3 months off.

Requirements

• A registered general practitioner or nearing completion of your training.
• An open-minded and independent approach to work.
• Able to build trust and rapport with patients.

Qualifications

• Completed a Bachelor's degree in Medicine.
• Registered as a General Practitioner in New Zealand.

Skills

• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Experience in rural healthcare settings.
