Responsibilities
- Ensure assigned shipping and/or receiving functions are conducted in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Monitor inventory per vendor and/or company standards and ensure related documentation is accurate and complete.
- Assist with timely and accurate completion of basic order fulfillment as time permits.
- Assume responsibility for accurate and timely receiving and inventory reporting.
- Rotate between departments and jobs on an as-needed basis.
- Establish and maintain good communications, coordination, and working relations with company personnel and management.
- Support coworkers as needed and keep management informed of area activities and significant concerns.
- Identify problems and provide suggestions for improvement.
- Ensure shipping and/or receiving inventory is properly documented in accordance with company policies.
- Execute shipping and receiving functions, including operating forklifts.
- Assist with warehouse stock management and automation of stock (e.g., bar coding).
- Conduct inventory control audits and ensure inventory accuracy.
- Follow established quality and safety standards, meet deadlines, and inspect work upon completion.
- Maintain a clean, secure, and well-maintained work area.
- Complete special projects as assigned.
- Obtain company certifications (e.g., forklift operation) as necessary.
- Willingness to work from a ladder or power lift.
Requirements
- Quality orientation and basic computer skills.
- Well-organized and attentive to detail.
- Willingness to assist others and closely follow written and verbal instructions.
- Knowledge of warehouse shipping and receiving procedures.
- Flexible team player with the ability to execute duties efficiently and error-free.
