House of Hackney has made its first home in its namesake borough with an ambitious flagship store in the heart of Shoreditch. One of the most gorgeous retail establishments to land in London in years, the store is bedecked in the brand’s signature print-on-print-on-print aesthetic.

The entrance is filled with flora—luxury florists Wild at Heart have sublet the front of the shop and filled it with specially selected House of Hackney flower selections. Inside, black polished floors lead to walls lined with Dalston rose, palm, bee, and other bold prints.

Upstairs, all of House of Hackney’s print collections are represented in rolls of wallpaper, fabric, trays, mugs, fashion, and collaborative designs with brands like Puma. Downstairs, generously proportioned sofas and plump armchairs showcase the brand’s more-is-more combinations of print and texture.

House of Hackney celebrates local heritage with prints like Hackney Empire and Dalston Rose, and products are made in England—where possible, in London. The store has all the makings of a new Liberty, with whom they’ve already collaborated, and is set to become a must-visit destination for fashion tourists worldwide.
