HTS/Direct Support Professional Tulsa

About the Role

Home of Hope is looking for caring, dependable people to support adults with disabilities in living more independent and meaningful lives. No experience is necessary—we provide training.

Pay

Starting at $11.00+ per hour, based on experience (range up to $14.80/hour). A $2,000 stipend is available.

Schedule

Full-Time, Part-Time, and Floater opportunities with multiple shifts available. Must be able to work a flexible schedule based on individual client needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living skills and personal care
• Support meals, household activities, and routines
• Provide transportation to appointments and activities
• Encourage independence and personal choice
• Support community involvement and social skills
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and positive environment
• Follow the Individual Plan (IP) of each client

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Dependable transportation and a valid Oklahoma driver’s license
• Current automotive insurance and availability to operate a vehicle during day/night
• Ability to meet required physical requirements (lift 50-70 pounds with/without accommodation, push/pull 50 pounds, walk efficiently, sit/stoop/stand for prolonged periods)
• Good communication skills and ability to teach in various settings
• Reliable motor skills (use of hands and feet)
• Ability to understand oral and written instructions
• Working home phone or cell phone

Pre-Employment Requirements

• Successful completion of required background screening (OSBI) and drug testing (pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable cause)
• First Aid/CPR training (including compressions on the floor/ground)
• Felony convictions require an exception from the Oklahoma Department of Human Services

Training

Paid training provided. Must successfully complete testing and competencies on training classes required by Home of Hope (HOH), DDSD, and person-specific training. Cross-training with other programs is encouraged for advancement within HTS levels.
