HSK Houseperson

Assist the housekeeping team in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in guest rooms and public areas to ensure a comfortable and pleasant experience for guests.

Responsibilities

• Assist in restocking housekeeping carts with cleaning supplies, amenities, and linens.
• Unload and organize incoming supply orders.
• Ensure all necessary supplies are readily available for housekeepers.
• Collect and dispose of trash from guest rooms, hallways, and public areas.
• Empty trash receptacles in a timely and efficient manner.
• Collect dirty linens and towels from guest rooms.
• Deliver clean linens and towels to housekeeping carts or storage areas.
• Answer guest request calls pertaining to all housekeeping matters.
• Assist housekeepers with cleaning tasks as needed, including making beds, vacuuming, and cleaning bathrooms.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is a plus.
• Attention to detail and time management skills.
• Proper use of cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Working Conditions & Physical Effort

Physical work is a primary part of this role. Physical requirements include extended standing and walking, climbing, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Some work is performed in an interior hotel environment with equipment and machines. The work involves exposure to extreme temperatures, chemicals, dirt, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises. The exposure to hazards or physical risks requires following basic safety precautions and use of applicable protective equipment.
