HSE Tutor - Part Time (Bilingual Spanish)
About the role
Reporting to the Lead Instructional Supervisor or Program Director, the HSE Tutor is responsible for the High School Equivalency (HSE) tutoring program and provides tutorial services for students seeking their HSE through the American Career College Educational Foundation at HSE Academy. Working alongside the campus HSE instructional team, the tutor evaluates, plans, establishes study strategies, and develops HSE curriculum to aid in student learning and comprehension of course material. The HSE Tutor also serves as an accountability coach.
Responsibilities
- Conducts daily tutoring sessions in math, reading, science, social studies, and writing for prospective students identified by the instructional team or self-identified by the student.
- Ensures timely progress and planning reviews for tutoring HSE students and maintains comprehensive records pertaining to each student’s progress, which is communicated to the campus instructional team.
- Tutors HSE students in group sessions or one-on-one in content-specific areas of the HSE examination.
- Provides individualized tutoring and/or remedial instruction as needed or assigned.
