HSE Technician (2nd shift)

About the role

In this role, you will support production process definition to ensure optimization of cost, quality, and on-time delivery of product. You will participate in sequence definition, cycle time calculation, and analysis of the working phases of new production processes/products. Additionally, you will share cycle time data with internal teams.

This role contributes to the Electrification Distribution Solutions in Selmer, TN.

Responsibilities

  • Safety documentation management – Completes all required paperwork (inspections, permits, incidents, compliance records) with accurate, audit-ready detail.
  • Emergency response readiness – Acts as the primary on-shift responder for medical events, chemical releases, fire alarms, and other emergencies; coordinates with Security, Supervisors, and external responders.
  • First aid & medical support – Provides immediate first aid and maintains readiness of first-aid supplies, AEDs, and emergency equipment.
  • Shift safety oversight – Monitors 2nd-shift operations for unsafe conditions or procedural deviations and supports supervisors in enforcing corrective actions.
  • Training & onboarding support – Assists with safety training for new hires, contractors, and cross-shift personnel; reinforces PPE use and emergency procedures.
  • Facility-wide support – Verifies safety controls continually working, LOTO steps utilized, and hazard mitigation during ongoing operations.
  • Communication & reporting – Communicates key safety issues to leadership; escalates urgent matters and provides clear shift-end updates.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Experience in medical field or HSE background preferred (EMT-level skill; able to provide confident first aid and support emergency response).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrates honesty, accountability, and trustworthiness in all safety and documentation activities.
  • Candidates must already have work authorization in the US.
