HSE Manager II

About the role

The HSE Manager II is an entry-level Manager position at Rosendin. This role supports the implementation and oversight of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) practices across multiple project sites with an emphasis on team leadership and development.

Responsibilities

• Plans and assigns work for team members.
• Makes sure the team and safety programs are doing well, fixing problems when they happen.
• Teaches, coaches, and helps new team members learn.
• Finds and tells others about unsafe things, then fixes them quickly.
• Helps make plans before starting work and talks about safety at the start of each job.
• Looks for what team members need to learn about safety and gives them the training.
• Looks into accidents and teaches from them.
• Helps make sure everyone follows safety rules.
• Checks if the work area is safe and follows safety rules.
• Looks at safety plans and makes sure everything is done correctly.
• Looks at drawings of how the work is done and follows safety rules.
• Knows about the company's safety rules and makes sure everyone follows them.
• Looks at safety records and makes reports.
• Plays a part in making plans for emergencies.

Requirements

• A 4-year related degree and 6 years related experience, or 9 years relevant experience and CHST certification.
• Ability to spend 80% of working time on active construction sites.
• Travel up to 25% as needed.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) and Oracle.
• Demonstrated ability to coach, develop, and manage team members.
• Ability to manage and handle difficult conversations.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Acquires understanding of the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and supporting administrative and performance management practices.
