HSC Adjunct Faculty Member - ABSN - Pediatrics

About the role

The Adjunct Faculty - ABSN - Pediatrics supports the mission of TTUHSC School of Nursing through excellence in teaching, service, and scholarly engagement. This position has a hybrid remote schedule for your convenience.

Major/Essential Functions

• Is a non-tenure position providing didactic or clinical teaching support for the Accelerated BSN Program.
• Reports directly to the Accelerated BSN Program Director.
• Assists with didactic and clinical instruction and/or evaluation in a specified clinical area or in the simulation lab, as assigned.
• Provides feedback to faculty regarding student performance and learning achievements.
• Provides subject matter expertise on course content, as assigned.
• Performs other duties as assigned to support the academic mission of the Health Sciences Center and the School of Nursing.

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum of 2 years clinical experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of pediatrics experience.
• Unencumbered licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Texas.

Preferred Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Nursing.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in baccalaureate nursing education.
• Effective verbal/written communication skills and proficiency in the English language.
• Awareness of current issues/trends in nursing and higher education.
