HS Sports Clerk/Reporter

About the role

The High School Sports Clerk/Reporter will work the sports desk part-time in the evenings, taking phone calls and emails from coaches to input scores. They will assist with live coverage of Friday night football and will occasionally cover games, take photos and write features for the high school sports department.

Responsibilities

• Take phone calls and emails from coaches to input scores
• Auxiliary coverage of Friday night football
• Occasionally cover games, take photos and write features

Requirements

• Good communication/phone skills
• Good organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications

Qualifications

• Self-starter
• Available to work evenings and Saturdays during the high school sports seasons (fall through spring)
