HS Boys Basketball - YES Prep Southwest Secondary (26-27)

The Role

When you join the YES Prep team, some of the exciting work and responsibilities will include:

• Organizing practices and games
• Making sure student athletes keep up with their studies
• Providing an introduction to the program to all student athletes
• Talking to coaches and the athletic director about how the student athletes are doing
• Being there for the team, even after the last student-athlete and their parents/guardians leave
• Gathering important documents like physical exams and other papers to make sure everything is in order

The Person

We're looking for staff members with a variety of backgrounds, talents, interests, and ideas. Some traits that stand out for our most successful employees include:

MUST HAVES

• Up to 3 years of coaching experience
• A thorough understanding of the specific sport, including its rules and terminology
• A valid certification for CPR and AED use from a nationally recognized organization, or the ability to complete a district-required training within a set timeframe

NICE TO HAVES

• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year educational institution
• Continued education in the specific sport
• Experience coaching the specific sport
• Experience working with kids
