About the role
Addison Group is partnering with a well-established manufacturing organization seeking a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to support its operations team in Newport News, VA.
Responsibilities
- Partner with department leaders to align HR strategies with business objectives and operational needs.
- Provide guidance and support on employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, and corrective action processes.
- Aid managers with performance management, employee development, and talent planning initiatives.
- Support recruiting efforts by partnering with hiring managers to attract and retain top talent.
- Contribute to employee engagement programs, recognition initiatives, and retention strategies.
- Analyze HR data and reporting metrics to identify trends and support decision-making.
- Collaborate with leadership to identify training needs and coordinate learning and development opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws, company policies, and HR best practices.
- Support compensation, benefits, leave administration, employee records, and other HR programs as needed.
- Participate in special projects and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance organizational effectiveness.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of Human Resources Business Partner experience.
- Experience supporting manufacturing, production, distribution, or operational environments required.
- Strong background in employee relations, performance management, and HR compliance.
- Experience utilizing HRIS systems and HR technology platforms.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Prowess in building relationships and influencing stakeholders across multiple levels of an organization.
- Self-starter with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Qualifications
