About the role

Addison Group is partnering with a well-established manufacturing organization seeking a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to support its operations team in Newport News, VA.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with department leaders to align HR strategies with business objectives and operational needs.
  • Provide guidance and support on employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, and corrective action processes.
  • Aid managers with performance management, employee development, and talent planning initiatives.
  • Support recruiting efforts by partnering with hiring managers to attract and retain top talent.
  • Contribute to employee engagement programs, recognition initiatives, and retention strategies.
  • Analyze HR data and reporting metrics to identify trends and support decision-making.
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify training needs and coordinate learning and development opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws, company policies, and HR best practices.
  • Support compensation, benefits, leave administration, employee records, and other HR programs as needed.
  • Participate in special projects and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance organizational effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of Human Resources Business Partner experience.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, production, distribution, or operational environments required.
  • Strong background in employee relations, performance management, and HR compliance.
  • Experience utilizing HRIS systems and HR technology platforms.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Prowess in building relationships and influencing stakeholders across multiple levels of an organization.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

Pay

$75,000 - $80,000 annually

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
