About the Role

As a Senior Consultant in HR Transformation, you will lead senior HR and business stakeholders through comprehensive HR transformation engagements. This includes discovery, current-state assessment, and the design and delivery of future-state HR operating models and processes. You will partner with HR leaders to support HR function strategy, service delivery model design, organizational structure, and transformation business cases. Additionally, you will contribute to people analytics, strategic workforce planning, and the development of AI-enabled HR use cases.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end HR transformation engagements, from discovery to delivery of future-state HR operating models and processes.
  • Partner with HR leaders to support HR function strategy, service delivery model design, and organizational structure.
  • Design and optimize core HR processes, including hire-to-retire, performance, and learning and development, with a focus on efficiency, employee experience, and scalability.
  • Support and lead HR technology advisory engagements, including HRIS vendor selection, implementation readiness, and post go-live optimization.
  • Assess current-state HR processes and design future-state processes to prepare organizations for successful HR transformation and technology enablement.
  • Contribute to people analytics and strategic workforce planning engagements, including workforce insights, reporting, and scenario planning.
  • Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders and project teams to drive successful outcomes and expand Slalom's footprint.
  • Develop HRT practice offerings, tools, thought leadership, and go-to-market materials.
  • Help clients identify and implement AI-enabled HR use cases as part of broader HR transformation initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Change Acceleration and Talent & Culture practitioners on full-spectrum workforce transformation programs.

Requirements

  • 5–8+ years of experience in HR consulting, HR advisory, or a related field with a strong foundation in HR operating model design, process optimization, or function strategy.
  • Proven ability to lead discovery, design, and delivery across HR engagements, from CHRO-level strategy to hands-on process mapping.
  • Experience advising clients on HR service delivery models, organizational structures, and governance frameworks.
  • Familiarity with HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM) and ability to serve as a system-agnostic advisory partner.
  • Hands-on experience in specialized HR domains such as payroll, time & absence, workforce management, or HR shared services.
  • Understanding of people analytics and strategic workforce planning concepts.
  • Ability to work effectively with both business and technical stakeholders, translating HR strategy into operational requirements.
  • Experience contributing to practice development, thought leadership, or client offerings.
  • Strong project management and stakeholder facilitation skills with a track record of delivering high-quality client work.
  • Background in HR, HR consulting, or HRIS with familiarity across the hire-to-retire lifecycle, including payroll and workforce management.
  • Experience advising on emerging HR trends, including AI and intelligent automation, and guiding organizations through adoption and change.
  • Track record of mentoring junior practitioners and contributing to team development.
  • Comfort engaging in business development activities and positioning Slalom's HRT capabilities with clients.

Qualifications

  • Experience with payroll and time/absence-related processes is ideal.
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled HR use cases and their implementation.

Pay

The targeted base salary pay range for Senior Consultant in all locations is $116,000 to $142,000. In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors.
