About the Role
The HR Representative provides outstanding customer service and guidance to our booksellers regarding Benefits, Payroll, and HR policies. This role involves maintaining accurate employee records, gathering necessary documentation, and ensuring timely payment of booksellers. Additionally, the HR Representative assists benefit administrators in managing health and welfare plans and qualified plan administration, demonstrating a solid understanding of relevant regulations.
Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service and guidance to our booksellers regarding Benefits, Payroll, and HR policies.
- Maintain accurate employee records and gather all related documentation to ensure accurate and timely payment of booksellers.
- Aid benefit administrators in health and welfare plan management and qualified plan administration.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of federal, state, and local regulations as they pertain to employment practices.
- Prepare correspondence related to employment verifications, subpoenas, garnishments, unemployment claims, and various other employment-related documents.
- Support the administration of our applicant tracking system, Talent Gateway, and call center tracking ServiceNow.
- Monitor the call queue and remain alert to calls at all times, ensuring all calls are kept to a minimum hold time.
- Contribute to the overall efficient operation of the department and foster a team environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Basic Excel and Word knowledge preferred
- Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multi-task and handle a large volume of phone calls
- Ability to work in our Westbury, NY office 2 - 3 days/week

Pay
The starting rate of pay is $25/hour, depending on experience, seniority, geographic locations, and other factors permitted by law.
Schedule
The position requires working 2 - 3 days/week in our Westbury, NY office.
