About the role

Provide strategic and hands-on HR leadership for a 2-shift union die casting operation with approximately 100 employees. Maintain a strong floor presence and serve as a visible, accessible HR partner to operations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough employee investigations and resolve workplace issues effectively
• Oversee payroll operations and manage direct reports within the HR function
• Administer FMLA leave processes and ensure regulatory compliance
• Manage benefits administration including 401K, short-term and long-term disability programs
• Drive employee relations initiatives and foster a positive work environment

Requirements

• Background in metals or manufacturing industry strongly preferred
• Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
• Experience in a unionized manufacturing environment preferred
• SHRM certification preferred; will consider a Senior HR Generalist level candidate
• Proven hands-on, floor-driven approach to HR leadership
