HR Leader
Position Summary
Our manufacturing site located in Washington, MO is entering an exciting phase of business growth and continuous improvement—and we are seeking an HR Leader who is ready to make a visible, hands-on impact. This is a key leadership role in a fast-paced production environment where relationships matter, decisions move quickly, and HR is a true business partner. You’ll help shape a positive team member experience from the shop floor to the leadership team, strengthening engagement, supporting talent development, and ensuring consistent, fair people practices. Job Summary
With limited supervision, this role will function as the primary on-site HR point of contact, acting as an advisor to local leadership while managing the full employee lifecycle, compliance, and culture.
Responsibilities
- Employee Relations & Conflict Resolution: Act as the first line of contact for team member concerns, conduct investigations and support in resolving performance concerns to ensure a positive work environment.
- Recruitment & Staffing: Lead full-cycle recruitment, including defining staffing needs, posting roles, screening candidates, and facilitating onboarding.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensures consistent application of practices and maintains knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws (ADA, FMLA, FLSA) to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
- Benefits & Payroll Administration: Assist in open enrollment and benefits related questions, including medical leaves (ADA/FMLA), as well as ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payroll process.
- Performance Management: Assist leaders with performance coaching and support career pathing. May assist with the development and administration of local training.
- Culture & Safety: Develop employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and support safety/OSHA initiatives. May support on-going worker’s compensation claims.
- Policy Development: Implement corporate policies and develop local procedures, ensuring they align with company goals.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum Experience: 4 to 6+ years of demonstrated progressive HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or stand-alone facility
- Proficiency with HRIS tools (e.g. PeopleSoft, Talent Central), in-depth knowledge of labor laws, and strong interpersonal communication skills
- Proficient in HRIS/Payroll systems (e.g. UKG, Kronos) and Microsoft Office
