HR Data Analyst
About The Role
The Senior Human Resources Data Analyst will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing our human resources information systems (HRIS). This position involves maintaining the integrity and accuracy of core HR data across multiple integrated systems, supporting HR operations, and generating comprehensive reports to aid decision-making processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Database Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of five to seven years of progressive experience in HRIS administration, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment.
- Candidates should have at least five years of direct experience with HRIS/payroll systems, with proficiency in report writing, data manipulation, and dashboard creation using tools such as PowerBI or similar platforms.
- Experience with HR applications like Dayforce and other HRMS tools such as viAderant (viEval, viRecruit, viLMS) is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR principles, and confidentiality practices is essential.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and familiarity with SharePoint or web design tools are also necessary.
- The ability to think critically, work independently, prioritize tasks, and communicate effectively at all levels is vital for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Human Resources Information System Administration:
- Serve as the subject matter expert and lead on HRIS (Dayforce), guiding HR team members, managers, and end-users on system functionalities and data management.
- Collaborate with benefits, payroll, IT, and marketing teams to ensure seamless data integration and system updates across various platforms.
- Affiliate with special projects involving new module implementations, data migration, and feature enhancements within Dayforce.
- Enter, review, and maintain employee data, including recruiting, onboarding, position changes, and terminations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Create and manage job and position records, ensuring all information aligns with official documentation.
- Set up user access, administer security rights, and reset passwords as needed, maintaining data confidentiality and security protocols.
- Participate in user meetings, community boards, and forums to stay updated on best practices and system improvements.
- Work with consultants and vendors to troubleshoot issues, optimize system setup, and develop custom forms, workflows, and dashboards.
- Performance & Learning Management Systems:
- Maintain the firm’s performance management system (viAderant), including process setup, form creation, and user access management.
- Leverage AI tools to streamline evaluation summaries and feedback collection.
- Export evaluation data and generate PDF reports for review and record-keeping.
- Affiliate with organizing and maintaining learning and development records within the LMS platform.
- Compensation Administration:
- Conduct salary surveys and prepare benchmarking reports to support compensation strategies.
- Compile annual compensation and bonus data, preparing spreadsheets and reports for management review.
- Import salary data into HRIS systems and generate wage notices in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Reporting:
- Develop and generate routine and ad hoc reports, including diversity, salary, department, management, and vendor reports, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Respond to various data requests from surveys, client inquiries, insurance applications, and employment verifications.
- Prepare federal and state compliance reports such as EEO-1 and California pay data submissions.
