HR Call Center Generalist

About the role

Are you passionate about helping people and delivering exceptional customer service? Do you have HR, benefits, or employee support experience and enjoy working in a fast-paced call center environment? As an HR Call Center Generalist, you'll be the first point of contact for employees seeking support with benefits, PTO, leave programs, retirement plans, employment verification, and other HR-related questions. You'll play a critical role in providing professional, knowledgeable, and empathetic support while helping employees navigate important workplace matters. This is a fully onsite, temp-to-hire position located in Latham, NY.

Responsibilities

• Handle a high volume of inbound employee calls
• Answer HR, benefits, and employee support questions
• Research and resolve inquiries across multiple systems
• Document interactions accurately and thoroughly
• Escalate complex issues when needed
• Maintain confidentiality and provide exceptional service

Requirements

• At least 2 years of human resources experience, with meaningful exposure to employee relations and day-to-day HR administration
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both written and verbal formats across employee and management levels
• Experience handling sensitive workplace issues with discretion, balanced judgment, and strong critical thinking
• Familiarity with benefits support, onboarding activities, and HRIS systems used to maintain employee records and workflows
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to track data, maintain accurate documentation, and manage several priorities at once
• Working knowledge of employment practices, compliance requirements, and investigation support processes such as unemployment claims or appeals
