About the role
The Human Resources Coordinator supports all aspects and functions of the Human Resources department. They perform a wide range of duties within a framework set by HR Leadership to include confidential administrative, operational, and project support.
Responsibilities
- Responds to employee, manager, and HR team requests, escalating issues as appropriate through the FreshService ticketing system.
- Communicates clearly, professionally, and with empathy, effectively engaging with employees, managers, and senior leaders to support HR processes, resolve issues, and foster strong, trust-based relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Provides exceptional customer service to internal and external clients; answers routine employee questions related to benefits, timesheets, time-off, and company policies.
- Supports onboarding and offboarding activities for all employees.
- Maintains employee personnel files and ensures compliance with all record-keeping requirements; manages I-9 documentation in accordance with federal regulations.
- Aids the HR team with the implementation and administration of HR programs and initiatives.
- Supports data entry, accuracy, and maintenance of employee information within the HR Information System (HRIS).
- Maintains the highest level of confidentiality at all times.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED, at least 2 years of related experience.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree AND Three (3) years of Human Resources Experience OR Equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated customer service mindset, with the ability to remain approachable, patient, and helpful.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
- Basic understanding of HR principles, employment practices, or HR compliance (coursework, internships, or prior HR/administrative experience preferred).
- Experience using HRIS, payroll systems, or ticketing tools (e.g., Workday, FreshService) is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and comfort learning new systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to research answers and escalate issues when appropriate.
- Collaborative team player with a positive attitude and willingness to support HR initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.

Pay
Strides, Inc. considers a person’s education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position’s work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee’s salary level. Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position’s level and expected contribution, and the employee’s benefits elections. Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range. We anticipate the hourly rate range to be $18.84-$23.00 per hour.
