HR Administive Assistant
About the Role
A mid-sized company is seeking an HR Administrative Assistant to support the HR team. This role involves managing leave of absences, performing data entry, and handling various administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have a background in human resources, whether as an admin, assistant, coordinator, or in a related role. While experience with leave of absence is advantageous, it is not mandatory. A Bachelor’s degree is required.
Responsibilities
- Support the HR team with managing leave of absences.
- Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Handle miscellaneous administrative tasks as required.
- Provide HR administrative support including coordinating HR activities.
- Assist with FMLA and Workers Compensation processes.
Requirements
- Background in human resources as an admin, assistant, coordinator, or related role.
- Proficiency in data entry and Microsoft Office, including Excel.
- Bachelor’s degree.
Skills
- Experience with leave of absence management is a plus.
- Customer service experience.
- HR assistant or administrative support experience.
Work Environment
This is a fully onsite position in Santa Barbara, CA, requiring a commitment of 40 hours a week from Monday to Friday. The role starts as a contract position with the potential to transition to a permanent role after a short period.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $31.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
