About the role
The new Atlanta office of Reed Smith is seeking a Mid-Level to Senior associate to join the Finance team.
Responsibilities
- Represent financial institutions and corporate borrowers in a variety of complex lending transactions, including acquisition financings, cross-border financings and syndicated credit facilities.
- Experience in a large law firm is preferred.
- Must be an active member of the Georgia bar.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 full years and up to 6 years of experience.
- Must be an active member of the Georgia bar.
Qualifications
- Strong academic credentials.
- Extensive drafting experience on large, syndicated financing facilities.
- Excellent oral and writing skills.
- Superior organizational skills.
- Experience working with clients in the commodities industry is a plus.
Skills
- Transactional matters including commercial lending, trade finance, securitizations and other receivables and supplier financings.
- Experience managing junior associates and paralegals.

- Represent clients in employment-related litigation, including trials throughout the country.
- Provide general advice and counseling work including employment/separation/restrictive covenant agreements, wage/hour work, and leave of absence matters.
- Draft and negotiate employment-related contracts and policies.
Requirements
- 6 to 8 years of experience with employment-related litigation.
- Must be an active member of the Georgia bar.
