Houston 68 (Spring Green) Drugstore - Customer Service Rep - Part Time

About the Role

As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for providing a well-stocked and well-maintained department while delivering superior customer service. This role involves stocking and rotating products, maintaining department and safety standards, and assisting customers with their needs.

Responsibilities

• Stocking:
  • Stock and rotate items as needed
  • Assist with inventory control; load, unload, and move product
  • Organize, clean, and prepare the back area for the night crew and incoming trucks
  • Organize merchandise on pallets to present the department professionally to the public
  • Ensure integrity of shelf tags and signage; create or prepare signage as needed
  • Maintain standards in shrink, safety, inventory control, and sanitation
  • Check shipments for out-of-date and damaged product to ensure freshness and quality
  • Build, stock, maintain, and take down store displays
  • Perform the duties of Customer Service Assistant as needed
• Customer Service:
  • Provide superior customer service
  • Answer customer questions regarding products and assist with selections
  • Help customers locate store merchandise
• Sales:
  • Merchandise product effectively
  • Use suggestive selling techniques to meet customer needs and build department sales
• Food Safety / Sanitation:
  • Clean and sanitize sales floor, display cases, prep areas, and equipment
  • Properly handle and maintain the operation of all equipment
  • Comply with departmental SOPs and store operating procedures
• Department-Specific Responsibilities:
  • Beauty: Knowledge of beauty and cosmetic aids
  • Drugstore / General Merchandise: Prepare tags and signs as needed
  • Grocery: Organize, clean, and prepare back area for the night crew and incoming trucks; prepare tags and signs as needed
  • Texas Backyard: Passion for the outdoors; ability to complete Green Thumb training (H-E-B internal training)
  • Entertainment: Knowledge in the audio/video field, including specialty products, movies, music, electronics, and video games

Requirements

• Age Requirement: 18+
• Education: High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent)
• Licenses/Certifications: Completion of Company Orientation and Safety Training upon hire
