Primary Responsibilities
- Aid in coordinating, improving, and implementing the agency’s treatment philosophy, program goals, and activities.
- Create a therapeutic environment according to program standards and housing supportive goals, including skills development and transportation of residents as needed.
- Build positive relationships with clients in the housing program.
- Conduct FCS assessments and recertifications, collect supporting documentation, and establish individual person-centered client goals.
- Implement the PSH Fidelity model and teach clients recovery skills such as cooking, cleaning, money management, symptom management, social interaction, and more.
- Maintain a structured environment as needed for clients, assisting with daily tasks and providing support.
- Monitor clients’ mental status and report any risks or changes in condition.
- Document unusual events and consult with appropriate personnel for necessary actions.
- Develop transitional plans for residents moving to more independent living situations.
- Observe and document medication administration for clients whose medications are being monitored.
- Collaborate effectively with other agency staff and provide backup support as needed.
- Communicate regularly with assigned staff about client needs and progress, especially in emergency situations.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, social services, or behavioral health field OR four or more years of relevant experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must meet agency driving requirements, including a valid driver's license in the state of Washington, and have reliable, insured transportation.
- Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration.
Mental/Physical Requirements
- Ability to maintain audio and visual observation at all times.
- Ability to stand and be mobile for long periods.
- Ability to bend, twist, reach, hold, and lift as needed to perform protective holds (up to 250 lbs).
- Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to remain calm and utilize safety training in potentially stressful situations.
- Successful completion of safety training, including balance, torso twist, forward bend, pivot, sidestep, forward and backward step, crouch, move to secure limb, knee touch to ground, kneel, and get up from floor sitting or kneeling position.
