Key Job Responsibilities
- Provide housing stabilization and tenancy support to residents in Permanent Supportive Housing.
- Maintain regular contact with residents and address housing-related concerns.
- Help residents understand lease requirements, tenant responsibilities, and program expectations.
- Connect residents with healthcare, behavioral health, benefits, and community resources.
- Partner with landlords and property managers to support successful tenancies and address concerns.
- Conduct housing visits and other community-based activities.
- Maintain accurate and timely case notes, housing records, and required documentation.
- Collaborate with internal teams and community partners to coordinate services and support residents.
Desirable Candidate Profile
- Associate’s degree in Social Services, Human Services, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Relevant experience in housing services, housing stabilization, social services, case management, homeless services, Permanent Supportive Housing, or a related field:
- Housing Specialist I: At least one year.
- Housing Specialist II: At least three years, with demonstrated ability to independently manage housing stabilization responsibilities and address complex tenancy concerns.
- Valid California Driver’s License required.

Work Schedule
- This is a full-time position, typically Monday through Friday.
- Work takes place in office, residential, and community settings, with regular travel required for housing visits, resident support, and engagement with housing providers.
- Occasional schedule adjustments may be needed based on resident and program needs.
Compensation & Benefits
- The anticipated starting pay ranges for the role are:
- Housing Specialist I: $20.00 to $23.30 per hour.
- Housing Specialist II: $22.00 to $25.30 per hour.
- Final level and starting pay will be determined based on qualifications, relevant experience, demonstrated competencies, and internal equity.
